Her Majesty's flagship
Best known as Admiral Horatio Nelson's flagship at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805, the HMS Victory saw duty from 1765 until 1922, when she was dry-docked and preserved as a museum ship. This exclusive edition recreation is much more than a model ship, it's an exact replica of the Victory, scaled down to 30" L x 10" W x 27" H. Using historical photographs, original plans, and drawings, master craftsmen create each hand-built plank-on-frame replica with mahogany, red cedar, and rosewood. The front bowsprit and three large masts are connected securely by advanced rigging and lines painstakingly knotted and fastened by hand. Each yard features hand-stitched fine linen sails. Even the admiral's quarters are graced with handcrafted brass lanterns, statues, and ornaments.
